Garage Clean Up and Organization Round 2

I went out into the garage one afternoon with the urge to do some cleanup and feel like I’m moving forward with the cleanup. As it turns out I got a good bit done. After deciding that I needed to start with small stuff, I consolidated items into a couple of totes or bins or placing items on the preexisting bookshelves. We have some boxes to recycle on top of the shelves as well and I’ll get to that later on in the garage clean up when we’re putting it back together again.

Next, I relocated one of my wardrobes and yes, it is still wrapped up in a sheet that protected it while we moved, to in front of the bookshelves in attempt to consolidate space. I took stock of what I saw and decided to put all the yard tools and such in the front by the garage door for ease of access when they’re needed.

I put 2 of our step ladders together and hung our son’s sled on wall because there was seriously no place to put it that it would be out of the way. You never realize how much you just spread out your stuff until you go to move things and see how much space you’re taking over with just a few items.

It was so nice and oddly freeing to get the fall and winter holiday bins back up on the metal shelving where they belong and not in my craft room and living room, huge shout out to the hubby for helping me with that stacking. I’ve come to the realization that we really don’t need 2 different sized dog kennels and we really should look into selling or donating one or both of them.

I’m very happy with the results as of right now, there’s way more space and we’re able to move forward with cleaning out the lower part of the cabinets, cleaning off the top of the cabinets and removing at least the upper part here soon.
